The project is a SCADA system designed to control and monitor over 200 stations and increasing, each station is equipped with SIEMENS S7-200 and GPRS communication module responsible of controlling and supervising its designated station by instructions received from the central control room. In case of sudden fault in any station, the station transmits relevant data to the central control station. Moreover data are frequently updated in a preset time, or by instance request from the central control room (SCADA room). The current system has lowered operating and maintenance costs. JDECO staff was trained by Engineers in IC Systems, concerning the design, and operation of the system.

The SCADA system allows the operator to control the opening and closing of circuit breakers, and to monitor the Current and communication signal strength from the central control room. The system archives all events, such as circuit breakers statuses.
